I just had to tell you guys asap:
Remember when I participated in the “make your life juicy” contest on chictopia? I had to post an outfit and do a little write-up telling everyone how I made my life “juicy”. Prize consisted of 600$ worth of travel expenses covered to New York, a juicy couture wardrobe and Chictopia.10 attendance.
Guess what. I won.
“But Annebeth”, you say ,"if you just won this AWESOME prize then why is your title “FML”?"
Well, dearest reader, that event is this very weekend. September 12th to be exact. And my international passport has expired. This means it is impossible for me to get everything sorted in time, therefore I have to decline this awesome prize and let someone else take it.
FUCK MY LIFE
Oh well, I’ll just have to accept this and move on to the next opportunity and pray I don’t forget to renew my passport by then :D
I sort of torture myself by imagining what I would wear to NY and the chictopia event. It would take me a few days to decide on what to take with me alone! I do know for sure that this dress I’m wearing would be coming with me. I love its bohemien vibe and I can’t believe I’ve never tried this length of dress! I love how it’s so incredibly retro and feminine and flowy and hippie and totally like the dresses I used to wear to play dress up when I was a kid. To me, getting dressed every day is still a bit like playing dress up. And this dress makes me feel like a gypsy princess but in modern times, like I would be this enigmatic bohemien character in some movie with piercing eyes and a charming accent.
I wish I had had this dress in summer, I would love to wear it in the sunny breezy weather. The fabric is very airy and light, so I’ll probably be wearing something underneath when the weather gets really cold. What type of coat or jacket would you wear with this dress length? I’m totally still getting used to this thing.
And I challenge you all to upload an outfit using your BEST garments and styling skills: what would you wear to chictopia.10?
