OH EMMMMMMMM (as one of our favorite celebrity stylists always says), I’m actually updating my blog almost everyday! Gasp! Let’s clap to that people! Clap clap clap! This is such an achievement, especially since until this month, I usually update my blog around 2-3 times a month, 5 at the most. Let’s all pray this new found energy to blog will last. Yay!
I just came from an event I participated in at the University of the Philippines. I was invited to give a talk about Coexist and basically share our success story as an online store. I’m so honored! More on that next time. :) This photo was taken weeks ago so it’s not what I wore to the event. Excuse my hair, this is how my hair looks like on normal days when I don’t comb them. Most people think I do this on purpose, that I’m aiming for the messy European hair look. Um no haha I don’t get it. I find my hair so messy looking all the time. I can’t believe people think they’re not.
Check out my first ever Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes! I’ve had them for the longest time, I almost forgot I had them! I posted a closeup photo just so you can see the cute and quirky nothings written on them. When I first saw this pair, I didn’t think any of them. I was just buying my sister a pair because she asked me to. But while I was waiting for the salesperson to get them in my sister’s shoe size, I casually tried the ones on display and immediately fell in love with them. The cut of the shoes in front is sooo sexy and different from the usual pumps. I love! The pants I’m wearing are from our Coexist Prêt line. We haven’t released them yet but they’re already almost sold out. We have one last piece left. And according to our stylist friend Bianca, Tito Boy Abunda (yes makiki-“tito” ako haha) liked our pants so much, he asked her if we’d like to make a men’s line. For those of you who don’t know Tito Boy (I told you I’m sticking to calling him that haha), he’s a really famous host here in the Philippines, sort of like Oprah. Anyway, in line with this, a lot of my guy friends have actually been bugging me for the longest time to make them clothes, but I don’t think I’m ready yet. I’d like to master what we’re doing now first. Besides, I don’t want to go into anything half-baked. If it won’t be perfect, then better not do it, right? The thing with a men’s line is that I wouldn’t be able to fit them. I’d like to personally fit them first so that I’d be able to scrutinize every little detail. I’m OC like that. Hmm… or maybe in the future, I can get a fit model for my would be line for men, but that wouldn’t be until 10 years or so from now. So for now, I’m sticking to making clothes for women.
P.S. Please grab a copy of this month’s Preview Magazine if you still haven’t gotten one or else! Also, please like Coexist’s facebook fanpage at www.facebook.com/coexistonline. Thaaaaaaanks! :)
