Now, about this look:
Are there different dress codes for different days? And in that case, what would be the dressode of Sunday?
Not too long ago, the Sunday dress code would be dressed up, fancy – because Sunday was the day of church.
It was very important to look good, because by looking good you showed your best side to the rest of the community(which often consisted of a whole village).
Now things are different, now Sunday is a lazy day – and that is a known fact. Sunday is the one day you don’t have to give one thought to how you look, or what to wear – not even a fashionista, – like me- cares that much about fashion on Sundays.
Why is that?
Well, maybe because most people don’t go to church regularly anymore. Sunday isn’t ”chuch day” anymore.
The importance of that day(if you think of the fashion that comes with it) has been moved to another day, to another place.
Now, which day and which place is that?
I would say, and I’m pretty sure my theory is correct, that Saturday is the new Sunday.
In the modern era, we dress up at Saturdays, we go out and meet up with our friends – or community.
And we want to look good doing that.
Therefore, it’s on Saturday’s the fashion matters the most to us. And all the clubs and resturants – they are our modern churches.
Today, though, I wanted to change my habit of dressing up on Saturdays . And insteed be a bit conservative – and dress up on a Sunday.
