Today was spent in a lovely little French inspired cafe, eating a nice selection of nibbles! Well, it started off with some light snacks and ended up having a very nice chargrilled chicken, seasoned with thyme and garlic. Dished up with roasted vegetables, and french fries. All washed down with a most refreshing beer from the Alsace region, called Frescher. A light fruity beer which, if, like me, you like ales, then I heartily recommend.
Of course, a lunch at a French cafe would’nt be quite right without a tasty desert…creme brulee is ALWAYS a winner… Rounded off with a nice double espresso and dark chocolate.
I do love a nice indulgent lunch! Especially when I am suitably attired in this rather dapper outfit, such as this! I know I posted this blazer on my last post, but as a) I do like it and I only brought it last week, and b) The cold season is approaching, and I have to wear it a couple more times at least! I thought I would team it up with a blue and white striped shirt with plain white collar and french cuffs (more on the French theme, there) I wore this with one of my favourite pants, my Banana Republic chocolate brown chinos, and of course this rather dashing red bowtie!
This outfit really did feel very smart in a cool sort of way, and after this lunch, we spent a while in a local bar near the river where a nice beer was also coinsumed, along with some rather admiring comments about my outfit from the regulars! : )
