Hey everyone :) These outfits weren’t so much planned as a Fall 2010 trend focus, but it ended up being pretty true to the new “it colors” for next season. Can’t wait for Fall to come, Fashion is amazing next season and Summer just needs to go away!.. haha
The camel coat is THE piece to have in your wardrobe this season. It’s what the strong shoulder and the 80s was to Fall 2009. Minimal and refined, the camel coat speaks to the chicness of all our styles. You MUST get one, it goes with absolutely anything. I suggest getting one like the one I have here which is straight up and down (shown here) but when belted has a great voluminous and dramatic silhouette. I chose to pair it with other classic and solid colored pieces to keep the look in that same minimal and refined vein but force it into fashion forward with the headscarf, which is actually a long maxi skirt from Forever 21 worn as a circle scarf.
I barely ever wear all solid colors and it’s sort of odd doing it, but I love how this look turned out looking. It’s like a classic and matured version of my style. It also displays Fall 2010’s love for minimal and unfussy looks. I’m in love with the design house Chloe because of their pretty way of putting together classic and minimalism this season, shown in my color palette for today. I kept all my pieces very neutral yet accessorized with some opulent gold jewelry which is taking from Fall 2010’s opposing trend of grandeur and bold gold fashion. I didn’t notice at the time but the bag is actually my outfit colors inverted, it’s pretty funny. I think small structured bags are the way to go for Fall, they are ladylike and classic but with a strong feeling. When in doubt go for anything Celine-esque next season, right?
