The print is so exciting. Reminds me of a very confused (and feminine) cheetah had been the inspiration lol. How wonderful :)

I adore this article. It pretty much says everything I've wanted to express about personal style in the past but was never able to articulate. Will definitely quote/refer back! Also, you look lovely and relaxed in that outfit, despite its dressiness :)

Why is it important to have a personal style? Because we can’t duck tape our college degrees, resumes, and iTunes playlists onto our face. A more face-friendly option would be to adopt a distinct point of view when dressing.

It’s playground rules… survival of the fittest. On the playground, you have only appearance to go on, you’re drawn to someone who looks like they have what you need (in this case, strength) to help you win dodgeball err… something. Likewise, the playground of life follows the same rules.

A personal style basically says “This is what I have, is this something that you need?” Its kind of stupid, but its true.

Things that don’t really count as personal style: (1) Dressing expensive/ designer (2) Dressing by the occasion. These don’t really reflect anything more than your salary or your ability to look “appropriate.” Is that bitchy? I don’t really care.

Hedi Lamarr is a glamorous but tragically forgotten movie star. Even though I’m built like a pre-pubescent boy, I still love the retro look. For day, I just add a long gray cardigan and switch my shoes to flats or my Comme des Garcons combat boots I won on Ebay for $50
