I was raised in a small town where the extent of fashion in high school was Abercrombie and flip flops. However, my sisters and I always liked to step outside the box, discovering Forever 21 in bigger cities hours away way before anyone had even heard of the brand. In fact, I was a bit sad when Forever 21 started to become more well known since this meant that everyone had access to it. lol
I feel like people have a tendency to dress how everyone else around them is dressing, especially at school, which is normal and understandable since, who doesn’t want to fit in. But for me, I wear something because I like it, regardless of whether or not others do. I follow my gut – I follow trends when I love them and ignore them when I don’t. I also believe that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to be fashionable.
If asked the question, what is your style, I wouldn’t really know how to answer. Every day is a new day, who knows what my style will be tomorrow? I think that in itself makes me stand out from the crowd. So, back home in my small town, at college, or any where else, I will always happily accept the risk of having people stare at me, asking me why I’m dressed up/down, or saying I look different. =D
My second attempt at a blog. lol
