This is sort of a trend focus post; we wanted to show one of our favorite upcoming trends for Fall/Winter 2010, Monochromatic Dressing & Red as a main color. Hopefully this inspires anyone who is enjoying these trends as well! We have worn these pieces a lot on our ChicBlog before but never all red all at once, so here it goes! :)
Daniel Red is one of my favorite colors for fashion, it always looks confident and impacting. Although we are both in very similar themed outfits, it is apparent that we are exemplifying our own unique styles. My style is twisted classic, fashion forward, and put together. The bright monochromatic red color of this outfit takes a basic look of a blazer, pants, and shirt to a completely different level. For inspiration, I took from one of my favorite design houses, Givenchy, who showed off beautifully tailored bright red suits, gloves, clutches, and boots.
Iris I love this Forever 21 coat, probably obvious because I use it so much on the ChicBlog. Even though the monochromatic red look is not really a trend meant for my style, I love it all the same. Overall, Fall 2010 showed ladylike 50s classics that really spoke to me, but rarely did they show up in such bold statements as in all red. I loved the full and long skirts from Louis Vuitton FW2010 so I decided to be inspired by that overall feeling and silhouette of a very 50s style of dressing. The coat and long skirt are really glamorous, especially with the addition of a neck scarf, this outfit makes me feel ready for Fall’s return of the lady, still with some kick of color.
