Lions and Tigers and Seals

I try to visit the Pittsburgh Zoo at least once a year, and with grad school looming (maybe that’s a little melodramatic…), my mom, sister, and I finally made it there. My favorite part of going to the zoo is watching the sea lions. They look so graceful and content as they glide around their tank! And last year, one of the sea lions gave birth to a baby girl named Sydney (after Sydney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins), so I was excited to see her again. Though she had grown so much, she was as playful as ever, pushing rocks around the bottom of the tank with her nose, chasing after her mother, and playing with a squid given to her by a trainer!

I was psyched to wear this dress I recently purchased from Q’s Daydream Vintage on etsy, and I was glad I did, because on my way out of the zoo, a little girl (maybe 2 or 3 years old) perched on her dad’s shoulders pointed to me and said, “She has a beautiful dress!” Frankly, that’s all the fashion affirmation I need. ;)
