Yup, you guessed it! I just watched CATS last night! One of my mom’s birthday treats for me during my birthday week. I absolutely enjooooyed it! One of my other chictopia friends mandigarcia (http://www.chictopia.com/mandigarcia) mentioned that she watched Cats and mentioned in her post that she knew the songs so she was bobbing her head and was really enjoying the show. I told myself, “I need to familiarize myself with all the Cats songs before I watch.”
Last night, hubby and I were actually supposed to have our dinner date birthday celebration for me at this hotel. But then my mom suddenly called me noon time and told me that our Cats was actually scheduled for last night, Aug 5! It totally slipped my mind!!! So the whole afternoon yesterday, I was busy downloading and listening to the entire Cats soundtrack! I was literally listening all afternoon – while taking a bath, while giving the baby a bath, while working on this thing i needed to type up for a client, while feeding the baby etc. It all paid off ‘cos I enjoyed the musical to the enth degree! If I hadn’t known the songs, I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed as much! For those of you who don’t know, Cats the musical doesn’t really have much of a storyline. Its mostly about describing the different cats who are going to the Jellicle Ball. So it could get dragging if you are not familiar with the songs (my opinion).
Anyway, after the show, I asked my mom to take pictures of my outfit. I didn’t really dress so formal and dressy anymore since last night’s show was just a regular show night and wasn’t really an opening night or anything, so didn’t really need to be uber dressy.
