High-waisted jeans (a.k.a. mom jeans) are back in vogue! Although I am not generally one to follow trends, I tend to pick from the fads that already fit into my style. High-waisted jeans and big spectacles are examples of trends I approve of knowing that these in particular were big in the 1980’s. I used to hate 80’s clothes because I wore over-sized hand-me-downs back when I was little miss chubby cheeks with bowl-cut hair in the early 90’s. Ironically, the 80’s have now become one of my two top favorite decades (the 60’s being the other), mostly resulting from my interest in their fashion and music. I love the vibrant colors, the synth, the Brat pack, Care Bears, Kim Wilde, Joan Jett, Siouxie and the Banshees, Psychedelic Furs, David Bowie, and…. high-waisted jeans and big spectacles!
