This cropped top, along with a really cute striped skirt, was graciously sent over to me by Poisonberry last week. I actually have a couple of cropped shirts stocked up inside my closet and I’ve been meaning to wear them over the summer but I was so infatuated with my “gone-Coachella” phase (read crochet and knit tops and bustiers) that I absolutely forgot I even had those darn cropped tops set aside.
For this particular Poisonberry checkered cropped top, I’ve envisioned wearing it with high-waist wide leg jeans, clogs and a floppy hat (yes, I had Hippie in mind). Sadly, I don’t own any pair of denim bell bottoms so my low-rise, skinny jeans would have to do for now…even if it means showing my atrocious tummy bulge to the whole world. Ugh. But hey, when will I ever wear cropped tops again? When I’m 60, withering and wilting? I say, now is the best age to be more risque. Carpe diem!
