The typical prom picture. Hey, everyone’s got to have one! The night that’s supposed to represent the culmination of 4 years of studying (or not studying!) Anywho’s, as lame as this may seem, here it goes:
This dress was a result of countless hours (on both my mom’s and my part!) scouring stores across the bay area. Since it was senior prom, of course I wanted “the perfect dress”. I tried thrift stores, boutiques, and even stepped inside department stores….and finally gave into the classic prom dress store: Jessica McClintock. This dress fit me PERFECTLY…no altering needed! Springy and elegant, just like I wanted.
As for the flowers… my mom has a small flower business! So she made my corsage and my date’s boutonniere. In an effort to make these as little cheesy as possible, she used calla lillies and orchids instead of roses. They turned out beautiful! A perfect addition to an awesome night :)
Unfortunately, I have a sad habit of spilling…and of course, it had to happen to this dress! Spilled pearl milk tea (aka boba or bubble tea) all the way down the side. Needless to say, my date called me a 5 year old. But luckily it didn’t turn up THAT much in photos!
