I’m finally back from my 2-day trip in the beautiful pine-and-mist-covered city of Baguio.
The initial mission was to unearth vintage and other special second-hand items from the illustrious treasure troves of Baguio, also known as Ukay-Ukay (which is a colloquial term for a “thrift store”). On the first day, I didn’t have enough time to navigate my way onto the thrifting maze of Bayanihan and was only able to filter the items in two stores. Nevertheless, I was able to come out of the stores carrying two plastic bags filled with 8 amazing items (most of which will be sold in my upcoming online store!). The second day was a wee bit special as I was able to extract a pair of vintage Christian Lacroix earrings and a beautiful pair of Roxanne Assoulin drop earrings from this vendor who is obviously clueless about jewelry. The price of the earrings? A measly Php 115 (roughly $3) for each pair!
