Well, I must say, if there’ one thing that I still like about my parent’s church, it’s the Rummage sale. I’m not gonna get all church and state on you, but lets just say that i’d usually rather sleep in on sunday mornings…
BUT, back to the issue at hand. The general rule is that “if you come and help set up, you can go ahead and help yourself to a few items” so that’s exactly what I did. First of all: The jacket. It’s vintage Escada, all the care instructions are written in German, and it’s probably the most amazing thing I own. There is even an embroidered pattern with circles on both the sleeves. They have velvet in the middle and it’s just so fabulous! The lady who I think owned it previously saw me try it on and just was like “OH! it looks like it was made for you! I hope your going to take that!” (she’s so sweet and Dear God, her shoes are ALWAYS amazing. I want to be just like her when I grow up)
Also, I got some amazing jewelry (i’m wearing two of the 3 necklaces I got here- One with a viking ship pendent, and one that has 6 chains and a pretty clasp in the back). Some perfume, and a few records. In my defense, I brought 6 or 7 trash bags full of my own stuff, and my family brought even more.
So here’s to the good things that can come from organized religion! cheers!

Me encanta!!!!
