First post, I have this addiction towards these cowboy boots, I guess it helps bring my inner country. And I love vintage, so essentially when I saw this, I just had to have it. I didn’t want to go way too country with this look, so I added it with flannel shirt (really comfortable). This is the best way I can represent my love for mixing styles.
Do you set the trends at your school?
I am not sure if I set trends at my school, I do get a lot of compliments on the outfits I put together. I usually don’t go with any specific trend, I love to mix trends up and play with my clothes. I often get asked how I pull clothes off and where I get everything, so I would say to a point that I do set some trends at my school.
Do your friends consider you a fashion guru?
Yes, to a point. I love to buy items that no one else will buy and find a way to make it work and make it original. I like to keep up with the current trends but not necessarily follow them all. If I see anything vintage or thrift store that is in really good conditions I would hesitate to buy it.
Do you completely stray from the crowd and march to the beat of your own style drum?
I’m brave enough to stand away from the normal, everyday trends. I am not entirely too sure if I “march to the beat of your own style drum”, I wear what makes me feel happy, comfortable, and free. If I want to wear a cute tshirt with a pencil skirt, then I will do it and find a way to pull it off. I’m not self-conscious or worry what others think of what I am wearing; If I am comfortable with it, then I will wear it.
