Statue of Liberty & Newsies

DANIEL: Spiked bracelet tied to make a DIY crown headband, H&M plaid shirt and sheer poncho, Levi’s black jeans, black boots.

This look was inspired by Givenchy menswear and womens collections. I melded the two together to create a sort of Statue of Liberty look, the spiked crown is great because it is multifunctional, it’s actually a bracelet which I tied with some stretchy string to make into a headband.

IRIS: Hat & white skirt from garage sale, Gap trench coat, fur vest from Forever 21, shirt, shoes, and dress from Kohl’s, bow brooch on hat and necklace from swap meet.

My outfit was inspired by J Crew’s Fall 2010 collection, I loved the styling and wanted to give it a go with my own wardrobe. The jewel tones and excessive layering were so pretty. Although the trench coat and hat look very menswear, the overall look is feminine and sweet.
