The very practical Daisy Dukes
Whether going to the beach, or just shopping with your friends, the Daisy Dukes are an easy article of clothing to work with! I chose them because, besides being incredibly comfortable, they are chic and easy to style in diverse ways! Here are some examples:
The preppy look:
My main inspiration for this look were the gorgeous outfits worn by the characters in Gossip Girl. But do not let their social status fool you! This outfit can easily be done with a low budget. Throw on a light, striped blouse with a cute and colorful cardigan, and add some playful accessories! A headband can always make you look well put together. You might also want to wear comfortable footwear, such as simple ballerina flats, if you want to climb the high steps of the Met!
The boho-chic look:
The first word that comes to my mind after the term “bohemian” is comfortable. I knew these shorts would look perfect with a nice, flowy top. The floral print is fresh and colorful. It’s the perfect travel outfit!
The punk-chic look:
Of course punk is characterized by its darkness, so I wore a black blouse. I like the contrast of the dark shade with the light wash of my jean shorts. Add some studded cuffs, shiny purse, and a pair of high heels, and you’re ready to hit the town with attitude!
