Trench coat is one of the most versatile piece of clothing I ever own. It always has THAT “uHHmmp” and elegance when you put them on.
It can go from day to night - from winter, fall, spring and (sometimes in rainy Vancouver) even in the summer.
It’s neutral and very settle, quiet yet full of sophistication.
Since Denim trend is full on blast this s/s10 (thanks to D&G who made denim-denim-combo wearable), I decided to pair my denim shirt with a classic tailored fit trousers (which was slimmed down to fit me) and a nude wingtip, the color scheme is very PALE and simple (color & neutral – as in Blue with Beige - navy blue is almost neutral // neutralizers help quiet down an outfit and you can never go wrong with neutral colors), no loud colors and very minimal on accessorizing (duffel bag and clubmaster sunglasses) This look to me is very simple yet elegant.
This is a more DRESSED-UP way to wear a trench coat. Full on with the shirt-tie combo, the men’s clutch, and the tie chain. This look is a fancier way to dress up a trench coat.
This look is dressy yet comfortable and casually chic. Effortless but still full of ‘swag’. Paired up with a nautical navy-stripped tshirt, self-altered pants (loose-thigh-and-skinny-bottom fit to create an interesting silhouette) very loud and studded belt and a funky hair and my dad’s gold watch.
This is a fun and a colorful way to wear this trench. Patterned shirt, with brown belt to match the moccasin, bright and loud magenta trousers but like I mentioned earlier, beige is a great neutralizer to quiet down a loud color/pattern, and it is very evident here… the look is well balanced even with a patterned shirt and a loud velvet-cord trousers.
LOOK# 5 and 6:
This looks shows you that TRENCH COAT ARE NOT JUST FOR SERIOUS business, it has a wide range of options where you can play around with it but still staying chic and in style. Paired up with a silk-cotton mustard v-neck sweater, and a meggings (men leggings) with a gladiator string sandals. The last look is a medium-sized striped ts with short shorts and yellow socks! fun and corky yet directional.
So that’s my entry. crossing my fingers. Please Favorite this if you appreciate the photos and the writing =D
