An outfit from earlier this year – we do “team spirit” every week before a crew race, and this week it was all one color + warpaint. And you know what my favorite color is? SHINY! Shiny makeup, shiny headband, shiny dress, shiny shoes. And if I had a metallic tailcoat or tights…watch out, is all I can say. Whenever I wear this glitter to school I bring the container with me so I can fix my own makeup and go around swiping glitter on my friends’ faces. Because this stuff never.comes.off. Ever.
And in a neat little coincidence, I won two medals that weekend, and they were both…silver! Which would normallly be kind of anti-climatic, but since I wore all silver the day before and it all matched, it was kind of nice. Plus, medals are just cool in general, regardless of what color they are.
Oh and…I sort of failed on my “one post a day” goal…but there’s some bonus material over at my blog, including this badass flag cake that I made for the 4th of July. Yes, I made that, and it only took 2344635 hours! It tasted pretty good too.
