At my previous post I told you guys all about the Bench Denim & Underwear Fashion Show that I recently did (July 2). So July 2 has passed, and the above is what I wore to the day’s event. Went to Araneta Coliseum at 11 am, rehearsed, had my makeup done, did the show by 8 pm, hung around, then headed home (Was not able to go to the after party. Boo. Had to go home to my daughter). I was part of two segments – the Far East Segment, and the Russian Segment. The Russian Segment was absolutely fab! Michael Cinco (Filipino Dubai-based designer) was tapped to do the designing of the bench underwear for the Russian Segment, hence, all our underwear were Jewelry clad. I was made to look like a regal Russian princess or however you call princess in Russian. I also mentioned in my previous post that the show consisted of about a hundred models and 70 celebrities. The celebrity in my portion was Jake Cuenca (You Filipinos probably know him) – he was dressed in a Russian King’s Cape and Crown. So after doing my runway walk, I was assigned to go to my celebrity, touch him a lil bit, and gracefully remove the vest and crown, to reveal him in his underwear. So yes. That was my task! I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to manage carrying everything since I had to take off the said celebrity’s vest and crown… and I myself was wearing a very heavy crown of some sort and a really long cape, plus really high unstable heels. Thankfully, I managed. The show was absolutely fun despite the tiring work hours. Its been 3 days since the show, and I’m still quite recovering from the energy and excitement level that the evening brought us all.
My outfit was a thrifted skirt/dress paired with a black cardigan with studs. My boots, I know, are so over used. The picture above was taken after the show, right when I was about to leave the artist entrance/exit.
