This orange woolen cardigan from Mango was love at first sight. So much so that I bought it knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wear it much in Singapore’s tropical weather. But people make irrational decisions sometimes don’t they? XD
A cardigan isn’t a typical choice of item to remix, but here are some ways I did it:
I wore the cardigan as a scarf, since I had on a woolen long sleeved dress on to combat the cold weather on a neighbouring mountain. The fine threads were very comfy so it was a great neck warmer.
I tend to wear my cardigan unbuttoned, and it does make the outfit seem less constricting and more casual. Perfect for school I think! Also, it was unbuttoned because the feature of the dress was at the top. :P
Buttoning up the cardigan not only showcases it’s wonderful buttons, it also conforms to the body, flattering curves if you have them. Worn closed, it also acts as a top, dividing the dress into two.
Well I only have one tip, and that’s to experiment with your clothes— to see them as more than they’re meant to be. A skirt can be worn as a tube top, scarf as a belt, cardigan can be worn as a scarf and so on. Just have fun!
