This is an outfit I wore last week, during one of the most dreadfully hot days so far this summer. Luckily, the weather hasn’t been too bad these past few day. But I’ll give it a few more weeks. I’m sure it will be an oven by then. This outfit was the closest thing to wearing no clothes that I could put on without edging towards indecency. Two pieces. Easy and simple and totally breathable. I wore this dress on the blog back in January here, but look how easily it transforms into an essential summer piece? It was meant to be worn all year round, and I will continue to keep it in heavy rotation over and over again. No life is lost when it comes to a fundamental transitional piece. It just begs to be recreated in fresh ways. I wanted to give the illusion of cutouts on the dress, so I folded up the bottom of the bandeau bra to show a little more skin. Sexy, but not too sexy.
