Back to black because…. Sale season is finally here! The easiest and safest outfit to wear when bargain hunting is black since it goes with practically EVERYTHING and it’s so basic it works when putting on clothes and trying them out. I do not really try on clothes in fitting rooms when I purchase since 1) I hate taking off and putting on clothes over and over again and 2) I have learned to approximate and imagine how a piece of clothing would look on me just by looking at it… however, a store’s return and exchange policy also gives me the trial and error option when my judgment can’t be trusted. Such return and exhange option, however does not apply during END OF SEASON sales, and given that the line to the fitting room is loooong during such times, I adapt by simply wearing the clothes over whatever I am wearing and using the store’s mirrors as my makeshift fitting room. It’s quite funny to see, really but it saves me the time and effort. This routine explains my outfit for the day.
The blazer is shiny and perfect for malling and it provides shimmer to what would otherwise be an blah all black look. The tanktop and mini skirt are basic enough for my sale ritual. The main accents to the look that I chose were a pair of red booties and a patent red purse which was roomie enough to accomodate 10 lbs of my stuff.
I wore this to a Wednesday holiday back here as a new president was inaugurated officially today and we spent it basically shopping at Zara (first day of the sale) and going around a jam packed mall (Teenyboppers were lining up major to get to catch Eclipse, also on its first day of release). It was intensely crowded- apparently everyone was in Rockwell today!
