She was swimming in a pool of misery and worries. She was facing conflicting thoughts in her head with every minute that passes by in a day but dares not speak of a peep. She knew that everything would eventually turn out right again in this lopsided world of hers but she couldn’t help herself. She looked into the mirror and smiled. She noticed that her eyes did not follow suit. You’ve come this far, she told herself. Memories creeps right through and it makes her guilty. She remembers her own words, “there’s nothing I know best that waking up each morning and putting on a mask so the whole world does not know a slither of my thoughts”. With that, she made up her mind. She shall still put on smile for she has an equal amount of things in life to be thankful about. Maybe you should too.
