What day is it today? Ah…Wednesday…all day.=) Hope it’s good.=)
Started a bit early today (Man woke me up at 9 to walk the doggy-woggies.) And reminded me that it’s not my usual lazy day today, ive got some stuff to do and will be out at 6pm to attend their Hand-over party in Hyatt. ‘Been thinking about what to wear for a week but the thing i want to wear is a bit too—mmm…how shall i put it—well, it’s sheer!=) Summer perfect floral jumpsuit by Stella McCartney SS08 (yes, 2 years and i still havent had the luck to finally wear it. Poor thing, i took it to Dubai and hoped i can wear it in a beach resort or something—na-ah, request denied-again!) So i am not gonna wear it again today-it’s the Rotary International so memebers are all foreigners but—oh what can i tell you! So we decided i wear another jumpsuit, also by Stella McCartney from the same collection, both are from my “extra special days clothes”, waiting forever to see the light of day. They will be vintage and i will be 80 by the time i get to wear them, i think. Sad.
Anyway, this was me last monday. Went out in the morning with the most boring outfit i’ve worn in months and so when the man took me out for our afternoon tea, i decided to try and work my brain a bit-ended up doing andgogyny-i miss my androgynous looks-and copied the husband’s outfit. But he didnt have a bag, no, he also wore jeans and his shoes didnt have heels!=) But you know what i mean.=) Striped white and blue shirts are his favourites, he has them in different shades, so i have a few blues as well to match his. We both looked ok but he said it’s not fair-people looked at me more because i have legs he said. =) Anyway, this is the bag i was talking about in the last few posts- the reason why i am broke. (I only have $17 now and not $25!!!) There were 3 colors, but i cant afford 3, so i decided to get the 2 more useful colors (so i think you already have an idea what the other one is.) =) I have been dying to have them since Alexa (last photo) started carrying them around but i finished all my silver coins in Dubai, and the last time i googled bags, i saw a photo of her again and i said “That’s it! I’ve had it!!!” I love bags that go with anything, and i mean anything, well, not with a gown or something but you know what i mean. You can wear your pyjama and carry these kind of bags and you know you’ll be fine. No, i am not talking about just luxe items, a vintage boxy shoulder bag for example, or a good leather hobo bag from Mango or Zara, it is true, it’s never about how much your stuff is, it’s how you carry them. I can wear a $6 vintage shirt and feel good, it’s supposed to be about achieving the look- YOUR look, no matter where you got your stuff. Some people are quite hard on people who buy luxe items, they make it sound so bad, like it’s a crime. But anyway, like what i always say, this is a democratic fashion world, you can wear whatever you like as long as you dont violate any law or hurt others. I dont think i am causing anybody here any problem by my being broke, am i?=) That’s why im thin you see, i can’t afford to eat!!!! Nah, kidding.=) At the end of the day it’s about you feeling good (thinking you sort of look good) and having fun, it’s supposed to be fun. I dont how many residents we have here now in Chictopia, but there are 6 billion (or more?) people in the world, just imagine the billions who are missing the fun! =) Anyway, i hope you like my little androgyny.=)
