Hi everyone!! :)
I’ve been kinda MIA due to lots of work and not enough time, but here I am today showcasing my look from about…errr… two weeks ago! :D Sorry, but the pictures were taken, but I hadn´t had time to blog…
So, the important stuff:
This is my first BURDA STYLE skirt made with the cuttest floral fabric that I was given by my friend and that is very vintage (it belonged to her grandmother).
For those of you that may not know, BURDA is a magazine that dates back to the early 70´s that has sewing patterns. It’s awesome! I’ve seen it here in my house since I was a little girl and my mom used to make my brother and I clothes with it.
So, this is my very first attempt to make a piece of clothing with the magazine’s patterns and I quite enjoyed the outcome! =)
I made clothes before, but I always did my own molds, I’ve been self-taught about almost everything, but my mother and my grandmother always lended me a hand, since I was a little girl that I’ve learned with them, I made dresses for my dolls!
So, this is a high-waisted pleated skirt (the pleates are in the front, but aren´t to visible, because of the print. I also made a little hairclip bow to match it! How cute, heh? ;D
I hope you like it! I’m really proud of it, I already started to make a little vest, but kept it alone, since I’ve been having lots of orders for accessories on my blog.
I hope everyone is doing ok and I thank you all fou your kind comments: you guys are great!!!=)
L<3ve,
Jackie
