This was me last saturday night when we went to have dinner with a good family. They’re originally from Ukraine but live in America. They’ve been here for only a year (not really enough time to really know which people to invite for dinner!) =) Nah, we had some salad and fish and then tea and cake after that and then a whole night of talking (while the men drank Black Label), so the conversation got crazier and crazier!=) A very good night.=) They have an 8 yr old daughter named Alice, one of the smartest little girls we’ve ever met. Very prett too, and photogenic, i’m actually going to take some photos of her for her yearly portrait collection. Having a huge camera can fool people you know, they think you do know how to take good photographs!!!!=)
Anyway, this is what i wore. It was a bit warm but i didnt really want to wear anything short. Windy too so the floral dress idea was out of the window. So i chose to wear this silk wide leg floral pants instead and built the outfit from there. Got ‘em from Topshop 3 or 4 months ago and i love the print and fabric and the versatility. So you might see more of them in the next few months. Cami top was a part of a top and just thought of wearing it on its own, it’s nice and fabric is light and airy-and dark enough to hide the “whotsits”.=) Also the debut of my little black caviar sweet 16 Chanel bag. I dont know if i cant really call it vintage because i dont think it’s old enough and it doesnt look it anyway (some scratches on the CC lock but that’s it!). The husband bought it from a lady (a friend’s wife in the UK) who is now into Hermes bags and so losing a couple of Chanels no longer hurt. She was selling 2 and other one was a pale pink Kelly style one (also Chanel, i saw both only in pictures sent to me by the husband when he was there) but i chose this one because i thought it’ll be more useful. It’s a large version of those little boxy ones floating around which i did want but when i learnt that this is a lot bigger-even better i thought so i can actually take some other things apart from a packet of cigarette, lighter and my Blackberry. We’ll be celebrating our anniversary next month and this, he said, is the official and only gift, so that’s it. Can’t complain really. It’s the same price as the one i want from the latest collection but it will be sold out by now anyway, so i think this one’s the right choice. I have 2 other bags i want to show you, in a few days maybe if i am able to come up with a couple of outfit that goes with them, but i have to say that this bag which i named Cleo, and my Sonia Rykiel French Kiss bag are my 2 favourite bags right now. I went out today after lunch to do a quick bank business (it’s the time of the month when we need to send mother her lipstick allowance) wearing a very boring outfit (shirt, denim shorts, flip-flops and huge sunglasses to hide the colorless face) and i cant help but wear this bag just so i dont feel too-i dont know, well, let’s just say i looked like i was out to go buy vinegar!=) Anyway, it looks too boring for me to show you, it looked too boring even to be photographed!.=) But i hope you like this one though. i do.=)
That’s it for me, off to check your looks (while eating some watermelon lovingly sliced by the man of the house!!) while he watches i movie a got him today.=)
