I recently drove up the rode to Leesburg, Virginia, in search of a good thrift store. Unfortunately, I struck out. But, I did wander into the city center to snap some shots around the picturesque Loudon County Courthouse that counts just among Leesburg’s many, many historic buildings. I love this little town. I remember coming here when I was a little kid to visit a friend who’d moved further west that Washington (I grew up just a few minutes drive out of Washington, DC). We bought candies at a local confectionary and then saw Mulan at the two room movie theater in town. I also worked at a local fine dining spot (historic bank turned restaurant) as a hostess for a summer during college. I’ll always think fondly of this little town whenever I find myself there again (uh, for the former and not the latter experience!). They’ve got some amazing barbeque at a corner shack and the best pie shop you’ll ever visit! But aside from the food, it’s always the historic landmarks that steal my heart. And the perfect locale for some outfit shots.
