You know when you put on an ensemble and you immediately feel so wonderful and that you’ve just thrown together a killer combination? That’s how I felt in this little outfit. I loved it. I suppose I can’t really post repeat pictures of it everyday, now can I? Everything just felt perfect, from the juxtaposition of decades (1960s shift dress with the 1950s beaded collar) to the contrast between my dark leggings and pale feet in cork sandals. Sigh, so in love!
I’m giving a go with some new trends here I’ve never touched before. First, are these black faux-denim leggings. I saw Erin of Calivintage sporting them recently; so, when I passed a pair at Nordstrom Rack the other day, I couldn’t but grab them out of curiousity. And hey, they were only $10! I hate going bare-legged any time of year, so these leggings my be my compromise for the hot summer months ahead. I might run back and grab another pair in a lighter denim shade, too. And two, I’ve been running around in these cork sandals for a couple weeks now. I’ve never, in my life, worn heels so damn high. I’m always afraid I’m going to fall over. Broken ankles haunt me at night (well, I’m exaggerating..just slightly). I now own three pairs of heels; just three! That’s compared to approximately twenty pairs of boots. Yikes.
