In 2005, when the bohemian trend went full force for Spring/Summer ‘05, it was literally like a boho bomb exploded in the world of fashion- it was bohemian fever all over and it came to the point that I (like many people) got so sick and tired of it, that we all swore never to go near bohemian again. Last night, I broke that promise since Patricia Field’s genius in SATC 2 made boho/tribal/ethnic so chic all over again.
I just watched SATC 2 the night before with girlfriends and their boyfriends obliged to see it as well. However, I made a pinky promise with mom that I would go watch it for her and I rarely break my pinky promises, so I went to watch it the second time around. An encore of fashion and fabulosity…and I am IN for sure. Since I already wore a very Betsy pink and brown polka peplum dress the night before, I decided to go a bit more marrakesh and I figured, a dress over leggings with big shell accessories would do the trick. I wore my mom’s vintage skirt made of the most delicate silk chiffon fabric which has drapery and goes on sheer at the lower part as a dress. She got i from Italy and I seriously love this pc. from her. It went perfectly with my recently purchased Ilaya bib necklace then I basically put leggings and that was it. Then went ALL OUT for the shoes, blinged out studded and rhinestone strappy sandals in red. I had the dreamiest time walking around the mall this night since the skirt just moved around and flowed beautifully against the leggings.
Hope it worked somehow! xx
