I watched Sex and the City 2 with Lissa, Nina, Kato (the main crew behind anything goes) and the boys who were obliged to see it with the girls and I must say- I loved it! I don’t get the negative reviews since I loved the entertainment the movie provided and the FASHION…. oh, the fashion… I have no words, i don’t even know where to begin. The girls totally went all out this movie and each one was so fabulous and chic as opposed to the usual Carrie in the spotlight mode, this time, every girl (esp. Miranda) totally shined fashionwise! All in all, a great escape and event to dress up and enjoy with your girlfriends and by some chance, willing and supportive boyfriends. It’s like the Starwars equivalent of a movie for women, so I heard!
To pay tribute to the sassy style of Carrie, I decided to go cutesy and wore a peplum dress for our upcoming Back to School collection. The main thing I love about this girly dress are the colors- brown and pink which are absolutely tdf combined.. think Chocolate and Strawberries! I punked up the look with a studded bullet belt and my Chanel purse. Threw in a leather jacket in pink (same shade as the dots) to complete the look since it was raining yesterday and the movies are ALWAYS ALWAYS cold, based on experience. The jacket surprisingly also provided a means to tone down the mega wattage party vibe of the dress. Finished off with my favorite shade of lip rouge from MAC, Pink Noveau and was good to go!
It was, all in all, the perfect night out!
