I never thought I’d try either the shoulder embellishment or the pleated cropped trouser trend. My shoulders need no help with definition and I haven’t actively sought any pair of pants in a few years. But the high waist of this pair disguised my long torso, and the volume of the sleeves coupled with the pleating around my hips was nicely balanced. For once I felt perfectly proportioned.

My aversion to pants is slowly dissolving…
