I am in love with this skirt I found out thrifting awhile ago and have been experimenting on how to wear it… a belt just didn’t look right for this outfit. I have a tiny waist but I do have some hips, so sometimes skirts this length that are also high waisted… don’t look so good. I don’t know, maybe I’m self conscious! I loved the grey with it though and these shoes are soooo cute (which I had a wedge version!) and I am in love with my new necklace from H&M – lots of compliments on it!
Since I’ve been on chictopia, I have to admit that I’ve been inspired to wear the heels in my closet more often and also buy taller/bigger shoes… so now when I wear flats, I feel so short! Which is also funny because I am actually 5’11" !!! So when I wear flats I’m still tall, and when I wear heels I’m like a short basketball player standing tall at about 6’5" (in my Cynthia Vincents) or around 6’3"… so funny. I used to hate wearing heels when I was younger because I felt like I towered over everyone! I guess I was self-conscious of my height ever since middle school – I was super skinny, super tall, no “curves” and all the boys were shorter than me… awkward! I think this is also why I’ve developed a “slouch” that I absolutely hate. Despite being a ballerina almost all of my life, I still slouch when I am standing around people shorter than me. Although I tell my friends and boyfriend to get on me when they see me slouching! I was so proud the other day when I was working on my etsy on my laptop and was sitting up straight and tall the whole time! It actually feels good once you get used to it… but I always feel a little silly sitting up so tall…
Anyways, wow, I’m rambling! I’m off to edit pictures and update my etsy with some lovely vintage items!
