Last night, the rain came pouring in which for me officially marked the end of summer back here in the Philippines. I had another outfit all planned but that was rerouted into this, an all black layered one since the weather was waaay to crazy for a summer dress last night. I wore this to watch Prince of Persia with friends on a quiet Friday night. Seriously, the party scene hasn’t really been the scene for me lately. I guess good clean mature fun and waaaay more appealing now, for me anyway. I guess I am quite proud of how I’ve found this “inner peace”.
The boots and blazer are the integral part of the look and my favorite items in this outfit. The boots, the main starting point in building this outfit, was a treasure from Zara, that I bought with Lissa when we went out the other day for a meeting turned shopping session. We got twin versions of these boots which look like the Addison wedged boots from Topshop (again a twin pair from our collection) but extra special since they are woven black and white ones- the detailing is intricate and absolutely to die for. I love shopping with Lissa since we agree on almost anything…fashion and lifestyle wise! Likewise, I love getting twin stuff with her since I guess I love how we own the same stuff but end up wearing them in totally different ways. I cannot wait to see her take on her own pair! Stay tuned guys!
The blazer is a lace creation for our upcoming collection for Glitterati. I love the intricate demure texture the lace injects to the piece. I decided to contrast that rich romantic feel with a mesh tanktop over a plain shift. Continued with the meshy vibe with stockings and kneehighs which also kept me extra warmer from the severe rain.
That was it, I guess from my lie low Friday night. Hope everyone has fun with their weekend! xx
