I love the website, ModCloth. I heard about it quite recently from an advertisement on a blog I was browsing, and even though I don’t really like checking out advertisements, the site intrigued me and I decided to check it out. I do not regret it in the least, well…until my purse feels the strain on it. However, a little harmless virtual window-shopping doesn’t hurt, right?
I love the nautical trend (or is it still really a trend, since doens’t trend imply new?) and have been looking for the perfect nautical tee for a while. I have an amazing nautical-inspired 1/2 sleeved sweater that works with everything and I love so much I often wear in the summer, even though I’m dying of heat, but I would love to have a perfect nautical tee. I have tried on many recently, and I most notably raided my local H&Ms supply of them to try find the perfect one, but to no avail. I have done less drastic approaches at Zara and Forever 21, but still the same result. I think this one may be the perfect tee…until I realize that I was too late and it is no longer available. :(
I also love a great floral-print skirt for spring/summer. It is an easy way to dress things up and still be comfy. I love the bright colors on this one by BB Dakota. Its so cute, don’t you agree?
I love this dress. It reminds me in a way of the dress Emma Watson wore to the Harry Potter movie premiere in London last summer. I love the overlay and the detail, the shape – in short, everything.
What better way is there to update a plain outfit than with bold accessories?
I love to add a statement scarf to any plain outfit, like jeans and a tee and some bracelets to make the outfit interesting. I love this scarf since it is a circile scarf, which I love, and is in a nice, bright, summery yellow-green.
On the same note, I love to add a statement necklace to any outfit. I would often go for long multi chain necklaces, but lately, I’ve been finding myself gravitating towards bibs. I love this bib necklace with statement gems on it. Even though it is admittedly more fall than spring, I love it and think it can work all year round.
Do you ever find yourself with a full virtual shopping cart of things you wish you can buy, but just don’t have enough to buy right now? I’m always in that situation, and am back in it now after so much wishful shopping on ModCloth. Oh well, I guess I do have to live by my poor student budget, but I can still hope and windowshop.
