I always hesitate and then relent and admit my chain store buys. Some people are so amazed. I say you can't buy style so it doesn't matter where you buy your clothes. You definitely look chic in yours!

I’m a cheapass (no surprise there), and one of my greatest pleasures in life is watching fashion people’s eyeballs roll into the backs of their heads and their mouths loll open and their panties start bunching when you say, “Oh this old thing? FIVE DOLLARS AT TARGET, SUCKA”.

Fellow intern (from W) Julia and I were caught outside Jill Stuart by a German model blog, and when we were asked about our outfits, we both hesitated.

“I’m SO wearing a mall outfit now,” I started.

“Uh no way yours is cheaper,” Julia retorted.

I put my fists up. “Wanna fight?”

It was awesome running down my outfit and pulling on specific pieces and going “Target, Express, H&M, Gap” and then seeing Julia go “H&M, French Connection, Urban Outfitters” to the horror and glee of the other girls in line.
