The weather isn’t looking any better than yesterday – only today it’s raining. I wore my lace ballet flats at first, but the grass was so wet and I got so cold I changed to our old Kontio Wellingtons. The shirt used to be my mum’s. The scarf I found from my grandma’s drawer, and since she didn’t wear it (and saw me looking at it dreamily), she gave it to me a few years ago. The umbrella I bought from Umeå, Sweden when I was there last autumn for a seminar. I could have probably bought the same one from any toystore in Finland, but I figured since I was in Sweden, I should buy something Swedish. And what’s more Swedish than Pippi Longstocking?
I’m super excited today, and there are two reasons.
1) My parents are finally taking me shopping for graduation dresses for August on Thursday. I can’t wait to show you guys what I choose!
2) Yesterday I got a letter through the mail, inviting me to the entrance test of a community college I want to go to. Yes, it’s only a year of studying, and no, it doesn’t really lead anywhere, but I reckon what I’m applying for – theatre arts – is very popular, so I’m glad they invited me. After all, I did send them an essay about why I want to go there and a poster of my most recent play.
That’s all for now, I think I have to go walk the dog. In the rain. Sunny days, where have you gone?
