“Imperfection is beauty…”
I have to say, I agree. Imperfection is indeed beauty. People’s imperfections, quirks, and unique qualities are the very things that make us interesting. Without these things, we would all be cookie cutter, alike, and boring. Perfection is unattainable. Honesty and authenticity are what is worth while. The idea of imperfection as beauty can also be applied to this dress. I found it while rummaging through the racks at Goodwill. I inspected it carefully like I do all the pieces I get from there. I noticed within seconds that the dress had undoubtedly been someone’s homemade creation. Its awkward one pocket, poor stitching, and quirky bubble-like bottom may have been imperfections, but these were the very qualities that endeared me to this dress. It is definitely not a top notch design, but it is an honest attempt and 100% authentic. This dress is a new treasure of mine… imperfections and all.
