Hello everyone!
TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =) I know u guys are O-mic!!! =) After days of work, u will finally get ur well deserved rest/break and maybe some drinks and dancing later!=)
This was me yesterday.=) The husband had a Rotary meeting in Jumeira this time (last one was Dubai rotary club in the world trade center) so we left the hotel at 3pm and went to Souk Madinat (a very nice shopping center/hotel next to the famous Burj Al Arab- the sail boat shaped building.) where we sat down and had early dinner (i had spicy prawns, my latest addiction) over looking Burj Al arab and watching abras going to and fro on the man made creek around the souk. I like the place because most people there are tourists and are all dressed up. It has some really posh restaurants and you sometimes cant decide where to sit because every place has character and with a nice view. I dont know why but i like being in crowded places, not crowded like you cant breathe anymore but where people sit down and sip their drinks and smoke their cigarettes and laugh at jokes as if the world doesnt have problems. People like us who escape from our daily life of routines and boring existence in a place we are slowly falling out of love with. Anyway, so after dinner he went to his meeting and i walked around and looked for the perfect spot to smoke shisha/hookah, apple flavor-my favourite.
And yes, as if i still need to tell u that this is what i wore.=) I brought a silk blazer with me in case it gets cold inside the souk but it stayed in the bag as i stayed out the whole time. Top is from H&M, one of the very few thing that i looked for because i need it, i didt want one as i have a few at home but i needed something that’s plain black, i know u dont really want to see the Marilyn Monroe tank top again just as much as u dont want to see my orange arm candy day after day. But i hope u can bear with me as i have limited choice right now. But i used a nice purse last night so you wont see the infamous orange tomorrow.=) And i want u (my special friends who come here everyday, almost, to check what i was able to put together, and who keep this page running.) to meet yet another high waisted baggy trousers i got on my first week here. I havent shopped in a while as i dont want to have problems with baggage again. I already have a few trousers but sometimes when you like something so bad, you just cant stop buying the same thing in a different color, or length or shape or whatever reason u can think of to justify the purchase. But i am hoping to be a good girl when i get home, i have everything i need for SS10, well, that’s what i want to keep repeating to myself anyway cuz if i dont, i’ll be feeding my dogs with silk soup and fried cotton! And yes, grilled leather and sweet and sour sequins! But im on holiday, i always use that as an excuse so i’d be less guilty. Im actually looking forward to being broke and grounded so i can enjoy what i already have and sit down with my husband to work on selling some of my prescious junk. Anyway, sorry, back to the outfit. These trousers have the same design like my silk khaki one in my previous post. Baggy that when gathered at the waist- nice.=) It also has the creased effect so i like it more, no pressing problems.=) And i think u know the rest.=) I hope you like it.=)
