Wedding day count down - 10 more days

I’ve obsessing over the weather report these days. It’s usually sunny and beautiful in San Francisco in May, but this year rainfall lingered from spring to summer longer usual. I’m getting married next Sunday and the weather report still says “showers” up till the day before. I can’t help hearing the lyrics to the song “it’s like rain on your wedding day” from Alanis Morissette in my head over and over again. I know, too much Glee.
Weather aside, I must admit that I’ve enjoyed this wedding planning process. It’s forced me to talk to my bridal party a lot more, which also gave me a great opportunity to reconnect with my closest girlfriends. Half of them are coming in from out of town, so I’ve spent many hours on the phone coordinating details with them. I forgot what it was like to “work inefficiently” and laugh about the silly mistakes we make along the way.
Oh, and I just received one of my first wedding presents today – Alice + Olivia for Keds! Pink sequined sneakers, can I ask for more?
