Everyone seems to be getting a little wild these days and L.A. brand, Spirit Hoods has followed in designer Jeremy Scott’s footsteps (or err, paw prints?). Scott, known for his wacky designs first featured the leopard hoodie in his collection for Adidas.
The hoodie is a leopard-including paws, arms, ears-the whole nine yards. Spirit Hoods differs because, unlike the Scott hoodie, they feature quality faux fur so you get the full fauna feel. Choose from one-of-a-kind toppers such as the black cat (seen in Wildfox Couture’s latest ad campaign), Zebra or Panda.
“The inspiration came from a vision quest I took with my brothers,” Spirit Hood’s Ashley Haber recently told me.
According to StyleSectionLA.com, Spirit Hoods are the item du jour for L.A.’s hip set. The quirky headdresses are quickly becoming the must-have item for everyone from club kids to music festival goers.
“We are very inspired by the music festival culture,” Alexander Mendeluk told StyleSectionLA. “They aren’t just fun and goofy, they can actually be sexy?” said Mendeluk.
These new hoodies are definitely an interesting and fun way to add a twist to the traditional head topper but sexy? What do you think?
