This day majorly lagged since I woke up 2 hours late from my supposed wakeup time which caused me to rush everything since I had a few meetings, errands and the weekly dinner date with dad penciled in today. Basically, I got up at 12:30 nn which was serious considering I had a meeting at 1:30 that afternoon and had barely an hour to set things up. Since it was a quite casual meetup, I needed something very comfy and easy to move around in and jeans seemed to be the perfect solution for my dressing up dilemma.
I rarely wear jeans anymore. I don’t know why…skirts, dresses and shorts are just so breezy and comfy esp. in this sauna hot climate in the tropics but it was refreshing to wear denim yet again for the day. These skinny jeans have been with me through thick and thin since 2006 and this pair has been my first skinnies EVER and I missed them so much. It was a miracle I even found them at all. I guess looking for 3 missing army green pants was a blessing since I rediscovered long lost treasure aka. forgotten jeans.
For this day, I wore it with an oversized black tanktop from Topshop, a lapel blazer (just in case it gets chilly in the mall) and ankle booties which elevated my 5 feet 3 inches stature up by about 4-5 inches. Piled on the necklaces and cuffs and headed out with my bag from yesterday- the fringe studded black purse I am loving since it is big enough to tote around with my 11 lb. cargo called my everyday bag junk. My purse is a walking pharmacy- seriously. I have to bring my epinephrine autoinjector, allergy, gastritis and heart meds everywhere that I have about 3-4 medicine boxes. And some people always ask me why my bag weighs so much!
Wore my lace shield sunnies again today and I got a lot of stares from people who had to check twice (some even tried to wave their hand in front of my face) to make sure I could see fine with the lace mesh covering my glasses. I could- definitely…I won’t be walking around the mall in sunnies I can’t see in, now would I? It was quite funny since about 6 random strangers tested this on me.
I finally got my haircut (bangs) today. I am posting a before and after photo to prove how much improved my look is trimmed bangs and all. The uncut ones were waaaay to long, as I realized after the trim. I love how the parlor still curled my hair even if I just got a quick bangs snip. I always trust them in curling my locks to perfection!
