Nice day i hope?=)
This was me yesterday, standing on top of the world, not as high as Everest but highest you can go with the world’s fastest elevator (64 km/h or 59 ft/s) anyway.=) We decided to finally climb the tallest man-made structure in the world, standing at 2,717 ft, with the world’s highest observation deck (124th floor) and yes, including the highest mosque and pool! =) Serious security control at the entrance, i mean like Airport security level! It was a bit scary being in the elevator because we did know how fast we were going, but we didnt really feel anything but the ringing in our ears!!! Like you’re in a plane high enough to look down at the clouds! Then we were led to the observation deck where you can see the whole Dubai, looking down at the city’s skyscrapers. They also had a hightech telescope which you can zoom (live) and switch from day time view to night time (programmed, which will show you clear images of the things you point at.) You can stay as long as you want up there but after a while you remember the thing is moving/swaying, and if you take time and concentrate, you can actually feel it!! so you think, ok, maybe it’s time to go down!!! =) Nah, im bad with heights. I remember Diddy taking me to the Emirates towers (50 something floors!) years ago, it was the highest one in Dubai then, and we were on the rooftop bar, and the thing is moving before my eyes! I felt sick i didnt touch my tea at all and begged him to get me down! Pathetic! =) Anyway, after Burj Khalifa, we sat next to the lake and watched the Dubai Fountain for an hour (yep, for the 99th time!) then decided to have a meal/drink in Address Hotel (which is also in the area) because the man was wearing a suit we cant really sit down in Starbucks! He attended a rotary meeting so he was looking a bit too much for Starbucks. So we sat in the bar, watching the hundreds of people coming and going to watch the dubai fountain and take photos of the Burj. Everywhere you turn, there are people with cameras! It is i think the Princess Diana of all the buildings in the world. I, myself, cant stop taking photos! I just cant help it. As if it looks different each time! =)
Anyway, this is what i chose to wear. A very special dress that i had to starve so i can have it in 2 colors. But since orange is my official favourite color this season, i decided to get this one. Belt is from Zara, a snake flexible metal belt that i saw burried in the pile of clutch bags in the counter. It didnt have a tag and the guys explained that it’s just for display because they havent received the rest yet! I gave him the “poor little girl” look and he gave me the “oh dont do that” look in return. It took us almost an hour to find out how much it is, a dozen of catalogues and at least 4 staff working on it! =) But i got it in the end.=) And i think you know the rest. I hope you like it.=)
But before i go take a quick swim, and half an hour of sunbathing, i would like to thank you for always coming to see my posts and leaving comments i really do appreciate and kind votes that keep me going. Thank you so much, esp to you special ones who come here to support my posts no matter what im wearing and no matter who took the photo-my posts are for you. Thank you so much.
