My name is Paige. I own and operate an online vintage clothing boutique from my home in Baltimore. Here I am with my two pups, Jasper and Luka. Both dogs came from the amazing all-volunteer rescue group based in DC, Greyhound Welfare. The group works super hard to place unwanted dogs from racetracks in Florida into loving homes in the Mid-Atlantic. My boy, Jasper (the standing brindle) never competed in an actual race and was retired at 2-years-old. My girl, Luka (the white dog with red brindle eye patch) had some 2nd place finishes, then was retired at 3-years-old. They have such distinctive and endearing personalities, and are as elegant as all get-out to boot! I love them both to pieces, and am so happy they found their way into my home. The pups often hang out when I’m having photo shoots for my vintage shop, and despite their lanky 70lb figures that barely fit in the lighting studio, they have been known to make cameo appearances in the shots.
The dress, an eBay find, is vintage 1970’s Gunne Sax. I love the rich black calico print with velvet bodice and corset tie. I am wearing an oversized floppy hat, vintage abalone and silver Mexican bracelets, a modern arm cuff from India, and vintage 70’s wooden lace-up clogs. My pups are sporting handmade martingale collars and velvet leashes from Two Hounds Design and Around the Hounds.
