With a wardrobe full of a mish-mash of clothing from different eras, in one day alone I can be a (as I state it) “veritable walking encyclopedia of fashion history.” This ensemble is no exception to that rule. I recently found this dress at the thrift store, packed with crazy shoulder pads and a darling navy and green checkered pattern. So 1980s! And what did I decide to pair it with? Of course, my new estate sale-purchased 1940s fascinator. And to top it off, I threw in my mom’s 1970’s earthbag. I love this outfit!
And, it’s a great summer ensemble, too. I love hats, be they wool or fur. So, to keep it light for summer, I’ll sport fascinators like this one. And nothing beats a fun dress for summery style!
