Nothing is more refreshing to the eye than monochrome pastels thus the all pale gray look. I felt in the mood for light hues this day so I decided to go all the way in a single color tone. I know, I know, I’m all about the studded belts, chunky accessories and grommet but I needed a romantic sweet break for once and this outfit provided that perfect opportunity. I had the afternoon booked and I thought this outfit would be a perfect day dress to wear. The dress is a draped bubble dress I forgot about and found recently. The vest is a hand me down from my mum which is an ancient brand called British India known for their linen marakesh inspired clothes. I fell in love with the embroidery, semi sheer fabric and length of the piece and kept this plus a brown version for myself. Added a vintage Italian belt (again form her when she was in her 20’s with her 23 inch waistline)…I still believe my mom’s closet is the ULTIMATE thrift store…. lots of great and fab finds!
Paired two more modern pieces with the overall recycled look in the form of my gray fringe bag (the color made me buy it) and my circa 2008 Topshop shoeboots which were super comfy to walk around in. Added accessories, pink eyeshadow and voila, my all pastel look was complete!
Went to see Jellyfish today… I don’t know why but there’s something about aquariums and oceanariums that relax me!
