I’m SO excited to finallllllly bring this dress out of my closet and into the world! I got it in Tokyo, Japan at the end of last summer and I’m pumped to wear it in NYC (and beyond)!!! But, even though the dress is so, so pretty and the colors and floral print are so perfect for the spring, I am totally NOT a girly-girl. Therefore, I had to add some EDGE to this outfit! I decided to pair the dress with some chunky black wedges and a fringe vest!
With the cutting-edge add ons (also not seen in this picture, but I accessorized with a fairly large gold/blue stoned YSL ring-unfortunately it’s on the other hand!), this outfit totally makes my day any time that I put it on! By mixing and matching pieces that you’d be surprised to see together, it is definitely an outfit that one will be noticed in. Plus, you’re bound to get some compliments! I think it’s completely fun, eclectic, and creative! I would wear it anytime, anywhere; from a day out and about shopping in NYC, to a hot dinner date, to a girls night out at the bars and clubs!
Now, one thing that I NEEEEEED and would be the perfect addition to this outfit is a handbag! Of course, my go-to spot for fashion is RevolveClothing.com, where I could find a million plus one handbags (among everything else that has to do with fashion). However, my ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE at the moment is the Foley+Corinna Itty Bitty Cross Body Bag in Black. It is SO, SO perfect for both day and night! I could wear it with this outfit when I’m dressing up for the day or night, or I could totally throw it on over jeans and sweats when I’m running errands! It is small, but when you are running around the city all day, it is perfect to put your wallet, cell phone, and metro card in! It would not only be great to pair with an outfit such as the one posted here, but it would even work with a beautiful cocktail dress that would be worn to a posh event! It could never look or get heavy or bulky and therefore is completely practical for use at any time, on any day! It has a vintage vibe and is a timeless, yet very modern, leather piece! Something like this is a must-have for any wardrobe! It is for any chic woman of any age!
