Back in March, I got to visit the Vancouver Art Gallery (which I had never been too) for free! It was during the Paralympics so admission was paid for :) It was really cool, there was an exhibit features Leonardo da Vinci sketches of human anatomy, on lend from the Queen. I am both baffled and amazed at his ability to draw with such attention to detail, on pieces of paper smaller than your average 8.5’ by 11’! A very painstaking task, but it turned out so beautifully.
There were so many inspiring works of art, but my favourite had to be by Wangechi Mutu. She has amazing collages with glitter and pages from anatomy books and magazines. Google her!
Needless to say, Grace and I had an amazing day!
