My second night in a row of show going was a blast. Seriously, I have two favorite local bands, and Coral Castles is one of them. (The other, Giant Tiger , is playing tonight!) I have already mentioned Coral Castles and how great I think they are, but I will say again… check out their myspace and give their songs a listen. If you have reconciled yourself to the fact that you do indeed like catchy music, you will like them. For a long time I was in denial about how much I loved a good pop hook, but I can now admit to myself and the world that I love some good, sunshiney indie pop with bouncy keyboards and cute boys playing it. Not everything I listen to has to sound like vacuum cleaners and/or cars wrecking into discotheques. Though I like that stuff too.
That said, this is the debut of my brand new Silence and Noise high waisted jeans and I love love love them. They are exactly what I was hoping they would be. I’ve already ordered them in the light wash too. If you are thinking about buying these, I will warn you that they run about two sizes too small, so order up. (I fricking hate ordering up >< ) As for this t-shirt, I bought it and never really wore it because I thought it was cheesy, but I really like it with these pants.
More photos on the blog, including photos of the styling singer/guitarist and bass player, Aaron and Travis. I was surprised to learn that Aaron reads The Sartorialist and The Face Hunter , so you know he’s looking good.
